Finally, we have better fishing! The experience is the same, remote and beautiful, but more action. I guess it’s Spring time, but we can never be sure. This winter has been cold in SW Florida. As soon as we started to see consistent warmer weather, the fishing has been very good. The tarpon have been showing themselves over the past couple weeks. The snook also are making a strong comeback. I am very optimistic about our fishery with more clean water filtering into the Everglades. I know that I vacillate on the fishing conditions, but right now, seeing the amount of Snook in our waters, gives me great hope. Redfish are still fairly darn elusive, but it will change.
I’m going to fish this evening, so I’m cutting this short.
